GOOD NEWS CLUB
The Good News Club is a weekly Christian program for children ages 5–12 that teaches the Bible through a variety of activities:
- Bible lessons: Trained teachers present Bible lessons using colorful materials
- Songs: Children participate in interactive songs
- Scripture memory: Children memorize Bible verses
- Missions stories: Children learn about missions
- Review games: Children play games that review the lesson’s theme
- Discipleship training: Children are taught how to have a relationship with God and trust Jesus as their savior
The Good News Club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), which creates the curriculum and trains instructors to teach it. The clubs can be held in a variety of places, including schools, community centers, churches, and homes. The goal of the Good News Club is to reach children with the Gospel, encourage spiritual growth, and establish children in a local church.
CHRISTIAN YOUTH IN ACTION
Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) is a program that trains young people to teach children about God. The program is run by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), an interdenominational ministry that works with churches that agree with their Statement of Faith.
CYIA participants attend intensive training sessions, then return to their communities to teach clubs in places like apartment complexes, day care centers, and schools. The clubs can last one to five weeks during the summer, depending on the state. Participants learn how to teach Bible lessons, play games, and study Bible verses. They also develop leadership skills, confidence, and faith.
Some say that CYIA can help participants grow their faith, build friendships, and improve their communication, teamwork, endurance, responsibility, and self-confidence. Others say that the program can give participants more confidence in their understanding of the gospel and their ability to share it.
5 DAY CLUB
The 5-Day Club is a free, one-hour Bible club for children ages 5–12 that meets for five consecutive days in their neighborhoods. The club is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), an international organization that aims to teach children about the Gospel, biblical principles, and other values. The club is open to children of all religious backgrounds.
During the 5-Day Club, children participate in activities such as:
- Listening to Bible stories
- Singing songs
- Learning Bible verses
- Listening to missionary stories
- Playing games
- Participating in creative learning activities
- Memorizing scripture
Clubs are held in a variety of locations, including community centers, daycares, churches, and backyards. CEF provides kits with materials such as Bible lesson books, teaching cards, and song visuals to help leaders teach the club. Local CEF directors supervise the clubs, and churches may help find locations or provide homes for the clubs. Each child who attends the club is enrolled and their name is given to a local church for follow-up.
A Christmas Party Club brings the Gospel to children.
Through a Christmas Party Club, your church can work alongside Child Evangelism Fellowship® to reach the children in your community with the true story of Christmas. While each Party Club is Gospel-centered, there are also teachings for saved children.
